The quiz takes place first and is followed by regional online head-to head play. For the quiz, each qualified registrant is challenged on various aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh!, so be sure you are up to date on everything Yu-Gi-Oh!. Each registrant is only allowed to take the quiz once.

The top 256 finishers from the quiz from each region move onto head-to-head online regional play.
